CircAdaptUI
Interactive Cardiovascular Simulation for Teaching and Research
CircAdaptUI is a free, standalone application for simulation-based teaching and research in cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology. It provides graphical access to the CircAdapt model, allowing users to create a virtual patient by modifying physiological parameters, for example valve dimensions and leakage, wall contractility and stiffness, arterial stiffness, and shunts, and to observe the resulting system-level responses in real time, without programming.
Designed for
Educators teaching cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology
Clinical researchers and trainees exploring cardiac and vascular function and disease
Students learning cardiovascular dynamics
Healthcare professionals visualizing complex (patho)physiological interactions

CircAdaptUI is available free of charge as a standalone application for Windows and macOS, provided for use in research and education under the CircAdapt Framework licence with attribution.
A user manual and case-based tutorials, for example normal cardiac pump function and mitral regurgitation, support both classroom teaching and self-study.
When CircAdaptUI is used in published work, please cite the relevant key publications.
